The entrance to Nan Yan Palace

After passing through the Imperial Stele Pavilion of Nan Yan Palace, tourists and pilgrims will feel lost and confused. In fact, this is the ancient people's ingenious use of the mountain shape and terrain, and they adopted an architectural technique called "wanting to lift and then lowering". Through the luxuriant foliage of a thousand-year-old ginkgo tree, a railered sacred path passes through a perilous rock that resembles the gaping mouth of a tiger. This place is called Foot Treading Tiger Rock. Legend has it that when Emperor Zhenwu was practicing here, he nearly got injured by a tiger. He pushed off the upper palate of the tiger's mouth with his foot. Later, the tiger turned into a rock, leaving behind this wonderful sight. If you look closely, you can also see a huge footprint above the rock. Because there are the sacred traces of Zhenwu here, many stone tablets are embedded in the Shendao Rock Wall, such as the "Weishi Rock Rock" inscription, which means that only this place can be called the rock of rocks.
