The main hall of Taihe Palace

#Golden Summit ·2022-08-20 23:32:13

Taihe Palace is an important temple for the worship of Zhenwu in Wudang Taoism. During the Ming Dynasty, the common people who were not allowed to pay homage to the Golden Hall found this the most sacred place where they met the "Patriarch" and prayed for blessings. Then, with hope and satisfaction, they went down the mountain and returned home. In the main hall of Taihe Palace, there are statues of Zhenwu, the deity holding a sword and a flag, and the deity of Zuncongguan enshrined. Among them, the statues of the Zhenwu Great Emperor and the one holding a flag and a sword in the center of the altar were cast in the Ming Dynasty and are all made of copper with gilding. The other six statues are of the six celestial deities in the Taoist divine system. They are all generals of the Great Emperor Zhenwu in the Zhenwu Divine Group. They are works of the Qing Dynasty and are painted in clay. In the main hall of Taihe Palace, cultural relics from the Ming and Qing dynasties are placed together, reflecting many historical and cultural connotations and having high research value.
