Behind the Golden Hall

The path leading down the mountain behind the Golden Hall is a contemporary building. With the development of the tourism industry, the number of pilgrims and tourists visiting the Golden Summit of Wudang Mountain has been increasing year by year. To ensure the safety of tourists and cultural relics, in 1987, the Wudang Mountain Taoist Association raised funds, and relevant departments conducted surveys and designs to open up this downhill route. The construction of this footpath was carried out strictly in accordance with the principle of maintaining the natural form. No alterations were made to the mountain, and a meandering, natural and smooth route was formed in accordance with the mountain terrain. During the construction, traditional materials and techniques were adopted. After completion, a new landscape was formed on the golden Summit. Walking through it, people can not only enjoy the rare flowers and trees on both sides of the road, but also get up close and personal with the thick Zijin City Wall and the magnificent Tianmen Gate. It is undoubtedly a successful example of construction on Wudang Mountain.
