The Eastern School of Kongde Neidan was founded during the Jiajing and Longqing periods of the Ming Dynasty, with Lu Xixing as its founder. Lu Xixing (1520-1601, some say 1606) was a native of Xinghua County, Yangzhou City during the Ming Dynasty. His courtesy name was Changgeng, his pseudonym was Qianxu, and he was also known as Fangkun Waishi. Young as a scholar, he was exceptionally talented and renowned in his hometown and prefecture. Having failed the imperial examination nine times, he gave up Confucianism and became a Taoist priest. In the 26th year of the Jiajing reign (1547), Lu Dongbin descended to his Beihai Thatched Cottage and personally passed on the elixir formula, thus obtaining the true essence of the inner Elixir. Following the teachings of Zhong and Lu Daoism, he advocated the dual cultivation of men and women and wrote books to establish a new school of alchemy. However, no sect was established. Later generations called it the Eastern School. (Note: A detailed examination of the five schools of internal alchemy in the east, West, South, North, and Center reveals that only the Center School is established based on its impartial philosophy of the "middle", while the other four schools are all founded based on their geographical locations.) However, this area is not entirely divided according to a unified standard. For instance, the "north" in the Northern School refers to its founding location being in northern China. The "south" in the Southern School refers to its location south of the Yangtze River. The "east" in the "East School" refers to its location in the east of China. The "West" in the Western School is named in contrast to the region of the Eastern School. The dual cultivation of men and women advocated by the Eastern School is based on the specific objects of cultivation. That is to say, it is designed for a specific object of cultivation. It does not mean that this elixir is suitable for every beginner in cultivation. This specific group specifically refers to middle-aged or elderly people who have already broken their bodies. It is an extremely convenient method for establishing a solid foundation. For instance, when a person's body is broken, compared to when they were not, it's like parents gave them a deposit sufficient for a lifetime. For young boys and girls who are not broken, it's as if this deposit has not been touched at all, laying a solid foundation for their life expenses. Those who have already suffered from physical damage, especially those whose health has deteriorated due to the damage, are like a deposit given by their parents, spending without restraint and only decreasing without increasing. Their savings seem to be getting less and less, making it impossible for them to live on. The solid foundation of their life expenses has been severely damaged to varying degrees. It can be seen that if it is a virgin man or woman who has not yet broken through the body, there is obviously no need to practice this dual cultivation, because "all people at the beginning of their lives are born." Since the foundation of the immortal womb has already been established, there is no need to build a foundation. In other words, if one builds a foundation through solitary meditation, it is indeed simple, but it is like doing business that has already lost everything and has no money at all. If one wants to make the business thrive and prosper, where would the capital come from? If one earns money by working hard every day, not only will the income be meager, but also there will be daily expenses. Even if one has savings, they will be pitifully meager. When will such savings last? Or if one day's savings are not enough, life can no longer be sustained. The dual cultivation method is like a business that has lost everything and is penniless, but you have a profound lesson and are determined to start a new business. Just at this time, there are wealthy and powerful people to help you. It can be said that yesterday I was penniless, but today I received help and became rich overnight. The foundation of my life was soon laid solid. From the perspective of the Three-Element Elixir method, the process of extracting, refining and consuming the Heavenly Essence and the Earth Essence from other substances is extremely difficult. However, the principle of extracting the human essence is the same. Moreover, "Every household has such a precious treasure", which is very convenient and can be regarded as a shortcut. The method of dual cultivation of Yin and Yang of the Eastern School is actually inherited from the Southern School and holds that the "Yin and Yang" mentioned in the ancient elixir scriptures actually refer to men and women, and elaborates on its theory. As Lu said in the "Jin Dan Zheng Pian" : "The way of Jin Dan must be achieved through the combination of the same kind." Yin and Yang refer to one male and one female, one li and one kan, one lead and one mercury. These are the great elixirs of medicine. The true 炁 of fukan is called lead, and the true essence of li is called mercury. The innate mercury accumulates within me, and the innate 炁 is taken from there. Why is that? That is, Kan, which is Yin on the outside and Yang on the inside. In terms of appearance, it represents water and the moon, and in terms of human nature, it represents female. I, Li, am Yang on the outside and Yin on the inside. In terms of appearance, I represent fire and the sun, and in terms of human nature, I am male. Therefore, the principle of the way of Yin and Yang between men and women is that when they follow it, they are born; when they go against it, they become elixirs. Although the Eastern School emphasizes the cultivation of both Yin and Yang and men and women, it is quite different from other martial arts in the room. It focuses on "concentrating the mind and gathering qi" to promote the interaction of the other and the self's spirit, achieving mutual supplementation and cultivation. It is regarded as an excellent yin-yang elixir. Sun Ruzhong of the late Ming Dynasty, Fu jin of the Qing dynasty 鍂 and others were tributaries of this school. From the analysis of the situation where the Eastern School strongly advocated the dual cultivation of Yin and Yang of the same kind, first, the master who received the elixir technique and passed it on was specially set up for the transmission of the Yin and Yang of the same kind elixir technique based on the situation of the Lu family. After practical verification, it was found to have unexpected miraculous effects, and the Lu family highly praised it. Secondly, Lu Shi had not obtained the other method of cultivating elixirs or had only a superficial understanding of it. Therefore, he believed that the dual cultivation of Yin and Yang was the highest path. In fact, it is a branch that has been separated from the common application system of the Southern School's various doctrines and has achieved certain accomplishments.
