Episode 26 of "Eight Hundred Li of Wudang" : Xiangzi Peak

2026-05-25 09:52:30

In the narrative of traditional Chinese culture, Han Xiangzi, one of the Eight Immortals, was passed down through the ages for holding a jade flute and dancing gracefully in his clothes. Even more so, he wrote for Han Changli, a literary hero of his generation, "Where is Yunheng's home in Qinling?" The golden saying, "When the snow embraces the blue pass, the horse cannot move forward."

Xiangzi Peak of Wudang Mountain stands a thousand feet high, with a large arched top. The old vines and the creases of the rock are filled with historical inquiries... Do the springs where birds and beasts rest still bear the footprints of the hermits of past dynasties?

This strange peak, which empresses the Taoist temple into the meridians of basalt, not only preserves the lingering melody of Han Xiangzi's flute but also solidifies the smoke and fire passed down by generations of hermits. The explorer wanders through the collapsed window lattices and the stone mill gullies, actually measuring two eternal distances: the eternal vicissitudes of nature and the eternal belief of mankind in building a spiritual home.

At the junction where the rammed earth wall blends with the clouds and mist, the maxim from the Tao Te Ching, "Reach the ultimate void and remain steadfast in stillness," is engraved in the deep veins of the rock. As the saying goes: "When all things come together, I observe their recovery."
