The Zixiao Hall is 18.27 meters high in total, with five bays each in width and depth. This is the only double-eaved hip-and-gable wooden structure hall preserved on Wudang Mountain. The entire main hall is elaborately carved with beams and painted pillars, with simple and elegant decoration and solemn and exquisite furnishings. There are five shrines in the main hall, including two side rooms, two secondary rooms and one open room. The shrine in the Ming Dynasty is placed on a stone-carved Sumeru pedestal, decorated with golden dragons, colorful phoenixes and various auspicious patterns. The built-in throne houses a statue of the Jade Emperor, which is as tall as five meters. At the same time, there is a gilded bronze statue of Zhenwu enshrined. On the altar in front of the shrine, there stand the statues of the four marshals and the various Heavenly Kings of the True Martial God Corps. It can be said that throughout the entire hall, deities and immortals revered by Taoism are gathered together. Coupled with the divine tables, offerings and ritual implements, they form a mysterious and ethereal world of immortals. These statues of deities and immortals, shaped according to Taoist legends, are vividly and lifelike, with various expressions. It seems that people can discern their status, the size of their religious positions, as well as their functions, personalities and mentalities from them. Here, we cannot but be impressed by the creativity of the ancients.
