The Yellow Emperor asked, "I have heard the teachings of the stabbing Law. If there is any surplus, it should be drained; if there is any deficiency, it should be supplemented. What does it mean to have a surplus?" What is deficiency? Qi Bo said to the sun: "There are five excesses and five deficiencies. The emperor wants He Gang to bring it back: I wish to hear it all." When there is an excess or deficiency in the spirit, an excess or deficiency in the qi, an excess or deficiency in the blood, an excess or deficiency in the form, and an excess or deficiency in the will, all these ten conditions indicate that the qi is not equal. The day of the Emperor: A person has essence, qi, body fluids, four branches, nine orifices, five compartments, sixteen parts, and three hundred and sixty-five joints. This is why all kinds of diseases arise. The occurrence of all kinds of diseases is due to deficiency or excess. Now, the master says that there are five excesses and five deficiencies. How can this come about? Reading Bo Ri: All are born in the five Treasuries. The heart stores the spirit, the lungs store qi, the liver stores blood, the spleen stores flesh, and the kidneys store will, and this is how it takes shape. When the will and intention are connected, they are linked to the bone marrow and form the five compartments of the body. The Five compartments all originate from the meridians and tunnels, promoting the circulation of blood and qi. When blood and qi are not in harmony, various diseases will arise. Therefore, it is essential to adhere to the meridians and tunnels. The emperor said, "What if the divine is sufficient or insufficient?" On the day of Qi Bo: When the spirit is abundant, laughter never ceases; when it is insufficient, sorrow follows. The blood and qi are naturally united, the five internal organs are stable, and evil invasions appear on the body, spreading gradually from the hair and not yet entering the meridians. Therefore, it is called to return to the spirit. On the day of the Emperor, the regulations for tonifying and purging are as follows: On the day of Qi Bo, if there is an excess of the spirit, the blood in the small meridians should be purged out. The bleeding should not be deeply expelled; otherwise, the major meridians will be affected, and the spirit will be at its best. For those with insufficient spirit, observe their weak meridians, press and stimulate them, and prick and benefit them. There should be no release of blood or qi, so as to unblock the meridians, and then the spirit will be balanced. What could be done about Emperor Ri's two stabbing? On the day of Qi Bo: When massaging, do not release; when needling, do not repel. Shift the qi to its deficiency, and the spirit will be restored. Emperor's Day: Good! What can be done if there is more or less? Qi Bo said: "When there is too much qi, one will wheeze and cough up qi; when there is insufficient qi, one will breathe and have less qi." When the blood and qi are not yet unified, the five internal organs are stable and the skin is slightly ill. On the day of life, the white qi is slightly released. Emperor's Day: How to deal with tonification and purgation? On the day of Qi Bo: If there is an excess of qi, it will drain the meridians without damaging the meridians, without discharging the blood, and without releasing the qi. If there is a deficiency, replenish the meridians and tunnels, and no qi will be released. Bu Ri Er Li Wei Yu said to Qi Bo: "When massaging, do not release it. Take out the needle and look at it. Every day, I will deepen it. If it suits the person, it will be corrected. The essence and energy will naturally subside, the pathogenic factors will disperse and have no rest. The qi will flow out of the thighs, and the true qi will be absorbed." Emperor's Day: Good! What can be done if there is not enough blood? The day of fear: When there is an excess of blood, one will be angry; when there is a deficiency, one will be afraid. When the blood and qi are united, the five internal organs are stable, and the water in the sun meridian overflows, there will be retained blood in the meridians. Nanri: How to deal with tonification and purgation? On the day of fear: If there is an excess of blood, it is necessary to drain the excess blood from the meridians. If there is a deficiency, it should be examined by observing the deficiency in the internal and external meridians. The pulse is large, the needle protrudes rapidly, and there is no bleeding. The day of the emperor: The example of the blood relatives being pricked and the day of fear: Examine the blood vessels and prick out the blood to prevent the evil blood from entering the meridians and causing the disease. The emperor said, "Good!" What can be done if there is too much in form but not enough? On the day of Qi Bo: If there is an excess in the body, abdominal distension will occur; pressing the Ren meridian will be unfavorable; if there is an deficiency, the four branches will not be used. The blood and qi have not yet merged, the five internal organs are stable, the muscles are moving, and a gentle breeze is blowing on the day of life. Emperor's Day: How to deal with tonification and purgation? On the day of Qi Bo, if there is an excess in the form, the Yang meridians will be drained; if there is a deficiency, the Yang collaterals will be replenished. Di Ri: What can be done with the thorns? On the day of Fangbo, when the flesh is divided, it does not hit the meridians or damage the collaterals. The defensive qi is restored and the pathogenic qi is released. Emperor's Day: Good! What can I do if I have the will but lack it? On the day of Qi Bo, if there is an excess of ambition, there will be abdominal distension and diarrhea; if there is a deficiency, there will be convulsions. The blood and qi are in harmony, the five internal organs are stable, and the joints and bones move. Emperor's Day: How to deal with tonification and purgation? Qi Bo Ri: When there is an excess of will, the tendons and blood will flow out; when there is a deficiency, it should be replenished to restore the flow. The day of the emperor said, "If you take it away immediately, it will not hit the mark, and the evil will be able to stand in the void." The emperor said, "I have already heard the forms of reality and illusion, but I do not know how they come into being!" Qi Bo said: "When qi and blood are in harmony, Yin and Yang are in opposition. Qi is disrupted by the guard, blood is contrary to the meridians, blood and qi are separated from each other, one is excess and the other is deficiency." Blood is associated with Yin and qi with Yang, which is why it is called shock and madness. Blood converges with Yang, and qi converges with Ming, which is the essence of the spirit. Blood is in the upper part and qi is in the lower part, causing restlessness and anger. Blood flows downward and qi flows upward, causing confusion and forgetting. The emperor said, "Blood is associated with brightness, and qi is associated with Yang. If blood and qi reside in such a state, what is real?" What is void? Qi and blood prefer warmth and dislike cold. When it is cold, the blood cannot flow out; when it is warm, it dissipates. This is where qi is released and blood is deficient, and where blood is released and qi is deficient. The emperor said, "What a person possesses are blood and qi." Now, the master says that both blood and qi are deficient. Is this without substance? Qi Bo said: What exists is real; what does not exist is deficient. When qi is released together, there is no blood; when blood is released together, there is no qi. Now that blood and qi are out of sync, it is deficient. The Luo and Sun meridians are only transfused to the meridians. When blood and qi coexist, this is the truth. When blood and qi coexist in the upper part of the body, it is called the Great Jue. Jue leads to sudden death. If qi reverses, one will survive; if it does not, one will die. The emperor said, "Where does the truth come from?" How can the empty go? The essence of reality and illusion, I wish to hear the reasons behind it. Qi Bo said. Both Ming and Yang converge. Yang nourishes Yin. Beyond Ming is full, Yin and Yang are even and balanced to enrich the form. The nine phenological periods are like one, and the person's life is average on a daily basis. The birth of evil is either due to Yin or Yang. If it is due to Yang, it will suffer from wind, rain, cold and heat. Those born in Yin are influenced by their diet, living habits, Yin and Yang, joy and anger. Bring back: What can be done about the harm caused by wind and rain? Qi Bo said: "The harm caused by wind and rain is reflected in the skin, which spreads to the hand and sun meridians. When the sun meridians are full, it spreads to the jue meridians. When the collateral meridians are full, it spreads to the major meridians. The blood and qi, along with the pathogenic factors, invade the area between the hand and the meridians. The meridians are firm and large, and the sun is solid." The solid is full of external firmness and cannot be pressed upon; pressing on it will cause pain. Emperor Ri: What can be done about the harm caused by cold and dampness? Qi Bo said: "When a person is in a state of cold and dampness, their skin is not constricted, their muscles are firm and tight, their moist blood cries, and their defensive qi disappears. Therefore, it is called deficiency." When the body is weak, the qi is insufficient. If it is pressed, the qi will be sufficient to warm it, so it feels quick and does not cause pain. Emperor's Day: Good! What can be done with the generation of Yin? The day of Qi Bo: One's emotions are unrestrained. Then the Yin energy rises upward. When it rises upward, the lower energy becomes weak. When the lower energy is weak, the Yang energy moves away. Therefore, the daily energy is abundant. Emperor's Day: What can be done with the deficiency of Yin? The Qi Bo Day: When one is happy, the qi descends; when one is sad, the qi dissipates. When the qi dissipates, the meridians become empty. Due to cold food and drink, the cold qi fills the body, causing blood to weep and the qi to disperse, thus the Qi Bo day becomes weak. Emperor's Day: It is said that when Yang is deficient, there is coldness outside; when Yang is deficient, there is heat inside; when Yang is weak, there is heat outside; when Yin is excessive, there is coldness inside. I have already heard this, but I don't know why. On the day of Qi Bo, Yang qi is absorbed in the upper part of the hand, warming the skin and dividing it between the flesh. When cold qi is expelled from the outside, the upper part of the hand is blocked. When the upper part of the hand is blocked, cold qi remains alone outside, thus causing cold chestnuts. The emperor said, "What should be done if Yin deficiency leads to internal heat?" Reading the day of Bo: There is some fatigue, the physical energy is weak, the grain energy is not abundant, the upper part of the body is not functioning well, the lower part of the body is blocked, the stomach energy is hot, and the heat is diffused in the chest, thus causing internal heat. The emperor said, "What can be done if Yang Sheng has an external heat?" On the day of Qi Bo: If the upper jiao is not unobstructed, the skin will be dense, the thighs will be blocked, the Xuanfu will be blocked, and the defensive qi cannot escape, thus causing external heat. Emperor's Day: What should be done when Yin overflows and causes internal coldness? On the day of Qi Bo, the qi rises upward, and the cold accumulates in the chest without being released. If there is no shivering, the warm qi will depart, but the cold remains alone, causing blood to clot and weep. Clotting leads to blocked meridians, and the meridians become large and sluggish, thus indicating middle coldness. Emperor's Day: When Yin and Yang unite, blood and qi converge, and the disease forms. What can be done by stabbing? Qi Bo said, "To stab this, we take the blood from the meridians, the blood from the ying, the qi from the wei, and apply the form. This is because the four seasons are of different levels." The blood and qi are united, and the disease form ① Nie: "Tai Su" means "to deter", and "Jia Yi Jing" means "to restrain". In Cheng, when Yin and Yang are in conflict, what should be done with tonification and purgation? Qi Bo said: "For those with excessive diarrhea and abundant qi, internal acupuncture is used. The needle and qi should be both internally to open the door, just as it is beneficial to the household." The needle and qi are afraid to be released. The essence and qi are not harmed, but the pathogenic qi descends. The outer door is not closed to expel the disease. The path is widened as if it were to be smoothed out. This is called a major purge. It must be cut out, and the atmosphere will bend. The emperor said, "What about tonifying deficiency?" Qi Bo said: "Hold the needle but do not place it in place to stabilize your mind. Wait for the inner needle to be exhaled. When the qi exits, the needle enters. When the needle is empty and blocked, the essence cannot go out. When it is solid, the needle exits rapidly. When the qi enters and the needle exits, the heat cannot return. When the door is blocked, the evil qi spreads, and the essence and qi can be retained. When the climate changes, the moving qi is not lost, and the distant qi comes. This is called chasing." Emperor's Day: The master mentioned that there are ten types of deficiency and excess, which arise from the five compartments. The five compartments have five meridians. All twelve meridians are affected by this. Now, the Master only mentions the five compartments. All twelve meridians are connected to 365 joints. If a joint is diseased, it will be affected by the meridians. The diseases of the meridians all have deficiency and excess. How can they be combined? For those who are afraid of the two and five compartments of the day, the six organs are combined to form the exterior and interior, and the meridians are divided into branches. Each generates deficiency and excess, and the location of their diseases is adjusted accordingly. The disease lies in the pulse; regulate the blood. The disease lies in the blood; regulate the meridians. The disease lies in the qi; regulate the Wei. The illness lies in the flesh, and the adjustment should be based on the flesh. The disease lies in the tendons; regulate the tendons. The disease lies in the bones; regulate the bones. Inserting a needle can benefit those below and those in urgent need. The illness lies in the bones. Throwing the needle and applying medicine. When one is ill and does not know the cause of the pain, the face value is the best. If there is pain in the body and the nine peaks are not ill, then prick them with a tassel. For those with pain on both the left and right meridians, give them a sharp stab. One must carefully examine the nine symptoms and be meticulous in the needling process.
