The Yellow Emperor asked, "I have heard that the skin has its branches, the meridians have their veins, the tendons have their knots, and the bones have their weights. The diseases they suffer from are different. By distinguishing their branches, left and right, upper and lower, the location of Yin and Yang, and the beginning and end of the illness, I wish to hear the truth." Qi Bo to the Sun: If one wants to know that the skin section is recorded by meridians, all the meridians are the same. The "Yang" of Wang Yangming is called "Fei Fei". It follows the same principle from top to bottom. Among its branches, there is a floating network, which is the network of Wang Yangming. If the color is too blue, it will cause pain; if it is too black, it will cause illness; if it is too yellow or too red, it will cause heat; if it is too white, it will cause cold. If all five colors are present, it indicates cold or heat. If the collaterals are abundant, it will enter the meridians. Yang governs the exterior, while Yin governs the interior. The Yang of the Lesser Yang is called Shu Chi. It follows the same method from top to bottom. If there are floating meridians in its part, they are all the meridians of the Lesser Yang. When it is abundant, it enters the meridians. When it is placed in the Yang, it governs the interior; when it is in the Yin, it governs the exit, so that it seeps into the interior and all the meridians become dim. The Yang of the sun, known as the Sun Guan Shu, follows the same principle from top to bottom. If there are floating collaterals in its part, they are all the collaterals of the sun. When the collaterals are abundant, they enter the meridians. The Yin of the Shao Ming, known as the Ri Shu Ru, follows the same principle from top to bottom. If there are any floating networks within its division, they all belong to the networks of the Shao Ming. When the collaterals are abundant, they enter the meridians. When they enter the meridians, they are injected from the Yang part into the meridians, and when they exit, they are injected from the Yin part into the bones. The clarity governed by the heart is called the sun harming the shoulder. The upper and lower parts follow the same method. If there are floating meridians in the part, they are all meridians governed by the heart. When the meridians are connected, they enter the meridians. The Yin of the Taiyin is called Guanzhe. The upper and lower parts follow the same method. If there are floating collaterals in its part, they are all the collaterals of the Sun. When the collaterals are abundant, they enter the meridians. Among the twelve meridians and collaterals, the part of the skin is also the origin of all diseases. It must first occur on the skin and hair. When pathogenic factors are present, the abdominal meridians will open. Once opened, they will enter the collaterals and remain there, then spread to the meridians and the residence, and eventually meet the stomach and intestines. Evil begins in the skin, where the hair suddenly grows and the hair opens. When a person is in contact with the meridians, the meridians will become abundant and the complexion will change. When one enters the meridians, they will feel weak and sink in. It remains between the tendons and bones. If there is too much cold, the tendons and bones will clump and hurt; if there is too much heat, the tendons and bones will become loose and disintegrated. The flesh will be shiny and the hair will become straight and withered. The emperor said, "Master, what are the diseases of the twelve parts of the skin?" Qi Bo said: "The skin is the part of the meridians. When evil invades the skin of the hand, the main principle opens. When it opens, the evil invades the collateral meridians. When the collateral meridians are full, they flow into the main meridians. When the main meridians are full, people are stored in their houses. Therefore, the skin has branches. If it does not follow, serious illness will occur." The emperor said, "Good."
