The Yellow Emperor asked, "I wish to hear the interpretation of the 'Nine Needles', the way of emptiness and excess." Qi Bo said to the sun: "When the needle is weak and then strong, there is heat under the needle. When the qi is strong, there is heat." When there is fullness and leakage, it indicates coldness under the needle. Coldness is due to qi deficiency. Those who compete and then eliminate them will produce evil blood. When evil prevails and weakens the body, do not press the needle when it is removed. When the needle is slowly pulled out and quickly pressed, it becomes firm. When the needle is pulled out quickly and then slowly, it becomes weak. The excess and deficiency of green indicate the amount of cold and warm qi. What is neither present nor absent is a disease that cannot be known. To distinguish between the later and the earlier is to know the sequence of illness. When dealing with the virtual and the real, one must not lose the right method. To gain or lose something is to deviate from the Dharma. The essence of the void and the excess lies in the fact that the nine needles are the most wonderful, each having its own suitability. When tonifying and purging, it is in harmony with the opening of qi. The names of the nine needles are different in shape. They protrude outward to address the needs of tonifying and purging, and also prick the excess to address the deficiency. When the Yin energy reaches its peak, the needles are removed. When the needling is weak and the beard is full, the Yang energy ascends. When the temperature under the needle is high, the needle should be removed. When the qi of the meridians has arrived, be cautious and do not lose it. Do not change it. The depth of one's mind lies in knowing both the internal and external aspects of illness. When near and far seem the same, the depth and shallowness are the same. Those who stand on the brink of an abyss dare not fall. One's hands are like those holding a tiger; one desires them to be strong. ① Excessive qi and cold body: Originally, there were no such four characters. According to the Xia Yi Jing, it is supplemented. A god who does not dwell on all things, with a calm mind, observes the sick and does not look left or right. When righteousness is free from evil, it is meant to be upright. To rectify one's spirit is to look at the sick and control their spirit, so that the qi can flow smoothly. The so-called "Three Li examination" refers to the inch of the lower knee. It is easy to see those who run by raising their knees. A person with extreme weakness, lacking feet and having a single sunken iliac. A person who is humble and honest is one who has fallen. Emperor's Day. I have heard of the nine needles, which correspond to the Yin and Yang of the four seasons of heaven and earth. I wish to hear their formulas so that they can be passed down to future generations as a constant. The Qi Bo Day: It refers to one day, two places, three people, four seasons, five tones, six rhythms, seven stars, eight winds, and nine fields, and the physical form also corresponds to them. Each needle should be straight, and nine needles should be placed in a day. Human skin corresponds to heaven, human flesh to earth, human connections to people, human tendons to time, human voice to sound, the harmony of Yin and Yang to qi to rhythm, human teeth and face to stars, human entry and exit to qi to wind, and human nine orifices and three hundred and sixty-five meridians correspond to the wild. Therefore, the first needle for the skin, the second for the flesh, the third for the meridians, the fourth for the tendons, the fifth for the bones, the sixth for regulating Yin and Yang, the seventh for enhancing essence, the eighth for dispelling wind, and the ninth for unblocking the nine orifices, as well as the three hundred and sixty-five solar terms, each has its own main function. A person's mind corresponds to the eight winds, their human nature to heaven, their hair, teeth, eyes and ears to the five sounds of the five tones and the six rhythms, their Yin and Yang meridians, blood and qi to the earth, and their liver and eyes to the nine. The Nine orifices have three hundred and sixty-five people: one for observing movement and stillness, two for observing the five colors and seven stars, five for observing the five sounds, one for observing the palace, Shang, jiao and yu, six for observing excess and deficiency, two for observing the earth, one for observing the high and low, nine for observing the wild, one for observing the front and closing the joint, three for observing the human, one for observing the teeth and blood, ten for observing the horns, five for observing the slow and fast, six for deficiency, three for observing the cold joint, and nine for observing the four seasons: cold, warm, dry and damp. The four seasons correspond to observing the opposite of the four directions Each interprets it.
