"Chou" means material. Guan Yinzi said: In ancient times, those who were good at 揲 burning the tortoise could demonstrate the ancient in the present, the ancient in the present, the high in the low, the low in the high, the small in the large, the large in the small, the one in the middle to the many, the many in the one, the person in the object, the object in the person, the self in the other, and the other in the me. This is the Way. Its coming has no present, its going has no ancient, its height has no cover, its height has no support, its vastness has no outside, its smallness has no inside, its outside has nothing, its inside has no one, its near has no self, and its far has no destination. Inseparable, incomable, incomprehensible, incomprehensible. It is precisely because of its muddiness that it is called the Dao. It is said: Water submerges, thus it contains the five essences. Fire flies, thus reaching the five odors. The wood is luxuriant, thus the five colors of Huawei. Jin Jian, thus actually refers to the five tones. The earth is harmonious, thus the five flavors are formed. Its constancy is five, its variation is incalculable; its substance is five, its complexity is incalculable. However, all things in the universe cannot be called "ten thousand", "Five", "One", "not ten thousand", "not five", or "not one". Or us, or from, this will form, this will count, this gas, ACTS since raul. Things do not know me, and I do not know things. It is said: That is, all things can be created in my heart. Because when the heart has something, love follows it, and when love follows it, essence follows it. When there is a knot in the heart, it first condenses into water. When the heart yearns for things, saliva flows; when the heart is sad for things, tears flow; when the heart is ashamed of things, sweat flows. Nothing is temporary but not long; nothing lasts long but remains unchanged. Water generates wood, wood generates fire, fire generates earth, earth generates metal, and metal generates water. They attack and restrain each other, and the number is countless. Infants and young girls, golden towers and crimson palaces, blue dragons and white tigers, precious tripods and red censers - all these are such things. There are some that do not exist. It is said: Birds and beasts are all crying, all running, all running. The grass and trees are now and then flourishing, now and then stopping, now and then rustling. Heaven and earth cannot retain, and sages cannot bind. Where does good fortune exist? Where there is, there is; where there is, there is. The drum does not 桴; it does not sound; where there is, there is the wonder; 桴 does not hand; it does not strike. It is said: "All things are uniform. People are confused by their names, seeing things but not the way. The wise analyze their principles, seeing the way but not the things. The sages conform to the heaven, seeing neither the way nor the things." Each path is a path. If you do not cling to it, it is the path; if you cling to it, it is an object. It is said: Those who know the falsehood of things do not need to discard them. For instance, when one sees a horse, an ox or a wooden horse, although one may have the names of the oxen and horses in mind, one may forget their true nature.
