The universe is the Dao. Guan Yinzi said: "Without the Dao, one cannot speak; without the Dao, one cannot think; without the Dao, one cannot think." All things in the sky flow with rage, and people and affairs are in a state of confusion. It seems as if they are returning, as if they are suddenly piercing, as if they are ambiguous. To contend for it, to mediate it, to criticize it, to criticize it, to discard it, and to take it. Words are like blowing shadows, thoughts are like carving dust. Holy wisdom creates mystery, and ghosts and gods do not recognize it. Only because it cannot be done, cannot be achieved, cannot be measured, and cannot be divided, it is called heaven, destiny, God, and origin. When combined, it is called the Dao. It is said: Nothing is not heaven, nothing is not destiny, nothing is not God, and nothing is not primordial. If things are like this, how could people be the same? All people can be called heaven, all people can be called god, and all people can be fatal and reach the essence. Do not say that heaven is not heaven, that god is not god, that destiny is not destiny, that origin is not origin. Therefore, those who are good at their own way, that is, within a single thing, know that heaven has exhausted its spirit and that death has created the primordial. In learning, we should distinguish different names and analyze the same reality. When obtained, share the same truth and forget different names. It is said that those who observe the Tao are like those who observe water. They consider the marsh as insufficient, and then the rivers, streams and seas are said to have reached water. However, they do not realize that their body fluids, saliva and tears are all water. It is said: The Dao has no one around; the sage does not see that one is the Dao and the other is not. The Dao has no self; the sage does not see his own progress or retreat from the Dao. Because there is no way, there is no way. Because one cannot grasp the way, one does not lose it. It is said: Those who do not know the false intention of divination are like shooting the Fu Yu. High standards preserve gold and jade. In the middle, keep the horns and feathers; Humble oneself and save tiles and stones. Yes or no, only those who place things know. It is said that one vessel can be made into ten thousand pieces of pottery, but in the end, there is no single piece that can make pottery or harm pottery. One can create all things; in the end, nothing can create the Tao or harm the Tao. It is said: The Dao is vast and ignorant, the mind is unrestrained and unrestrained, and things are numerous and endless. Electricity flows freely, and sand flies freely. The sage understands one thing, one path, one. The three are combined into one. Do not let uniformity lead to uniformity and do not let uniformity harm uniformity. It is said that if a basin is used as a marsh and a stone as an island, fish will swim around it, not knowing that it has traveled tens of millions of miles without ceasing. Why? Water has no source and no return. The way of the sage has no beginning and no end, so it is endless in response to all things. It is said: There is no love in the way; love is water. Without observing the way, one sees fire. There is no pursuit of the path; pursuit is the wood. Silence speaks; words are as precious as gold. Without thinking about the Tao, thinking is the earth. Only the sage ascends the great way without departing from his own nature. Since the heart has not yet emerged, the way is false. It is said that heavy clouds cover the sky, the rivers and lakes are gloomy, and the fish swim in confusion. Suddenly, they see the clear water and the food moves. They are fortunate to be sent to the sky and immediately catch it, but the fish die. The same is true of those who pursue the path without knowing that they have no self. It is said that there are numerous alchemy techniques in the world, some of which are obscure, some are bright, some are strong, and some are weak. What is held in hand is all matters; what is not held in hand is all the way. It is said: The Tao is ultimately unattainable; what can be obtained is called virtue, not the Tao. The Way is ultimately unfeasible; what is feasible is called the way itself, not the Way. The sage, because he can obtain what is feasible, is good at his own life. For those who cannot obtain what they cannot, they are willing to die. It is said that after hearing the truth, those who have something to do and something to hold onto are the human beings; those who have nothing to do and nothing to hold onto are the celestial beings. Those who act will surely fail, and those who hold on will surely lose. Therefore, if one hears the truth in the morning, one may die in the evening. It is said: A person with a dark heart is a sage, one with a kind heart is a virtuous person, and one with an evil heart is a villain. The one who is in the dark is inherently absent and cannot be revealed. The good and evil of a person arise from nothing and cannot be obtained or kept secret. The good and evil of one emotion are known only to animals; those who are unaware of one emotion are ignorant. Under the vast universe, the Dao is everywhere. It is said: "If a sage does not slack off in his practice, then it is said that the way is accomplished through diligence." Do not think that it is difficult for a sage to hold fast; instead, it is said that the way is achieved through grasping. The sage acts with vigor, just as he shoots an arrow; because of that, I do not act on my own. A sage who holds fast is like holding an arrow; he holds fast because of him, but I do not hold fast for myself. It is said that if one seeks the way through words, deeds, knowledge and mutual extension, there will be no gain. Words are like the sound of a spring, actions are like the flight of birds, learning is like a snapshot, and knowledge is like a dream. Without a breath, the way will be in harmony. It is said that building things through events is difficult, but discarding things through the way is easy. All things in the world are difficult to achieve but easy to break. It is said: A single burning fire can consume all things. When things perish, where will the fire remain? The way of a single breath can dissolve all things. When things perish, where is the way? It is said: In this world, there is a day when one dies, a decade when one dies, and a hundred years when one dies. A day of death is like a breath of enlightenment. Those who have died for ten or a hundred years are like those who have attained enlightenment through a long period of time. When he is still alive, even if his actions are wise and clear, it is not called life but death. Those who have not grasped the way, although their actions are wise and clear, are merely called deeds but not the way. It is said that one does not know that the way is without words or actions, yet there are words and actions seeking the way. Suddenly encountering foreign objects, one stubbornly holds onto them as the way. Little do one know that if one abandons the source to seek the flow, one will never obtain the source; if one abandons the root to seek the branch, one will never obtain the root. It is said: Practicing archery, charioteering, playing the zither or playing chess, in the end, nothing can be achieved in a single breath. Only the Dao has no form or method, and thus can be achieved in a single breath. It is said: When two archers meet, it is a clever and humble view. When two people meet, the outcome is clear. When two people meet, there is nothing to show. There is nothing to show, neither skillful nor clumsy, neither victorious nor defeated. It is said: My way is like the sea, with billions of pieces of gold, but when thrown into it, they are nowhere to be seen. There are billions of stones, but they are nowhere to be seen. There are billions of filth that are thrown away but never seen. It can transport small shrimps and fish, as well as big Kun and big whales. If one gathers all the waters and receives them, there will be no surplus. Disperse the water and divide it; it is not insufficient. It is said: My path is like being in a dark place. Those who are in the light do not see anything in the darkness, while those who are in the darkness can discern things in the light. It is said that the power of a petty person is attributed to evil, that of a gentleman to good, and that of a sage to nothing. Only by attaining nothing is it the way. It is said: "My way is like a sword. Cutting objects with its blade brings profit; holding the blade with one's hand causes injury." It is said: 笾 does not ask the bean, the bean does not answer 笾, the tile does not ask the stone, the stone does not answer the tile, and the way is not lost. Question 欤 answer 欤, in a continuous flow, where is the way? It is said: Those who look up to the dao 跂, those who follow the dao progress. All know the things, but do not know the ways. Therefore, the sage does not seek the Way but is humble, does not rely on the Way but is rich, does not borrow the Way from the sage, and does not flatter the Way to the foolish.
