Huang Nan asked, "I have heard that in ancient times, the only way to treat diseases was to shift the essence and transform the qi. That's all I can offer." In this world, when it comes to treating diseases, poisons treat the inside while needles and stones treat the outside. Whether it cures or not, why is that? Qi Bo to the Sun: In ancient times, people lived among beasts, moving to avoid the cold and staying bright to escape the heat. They had no inner burden of affection and no outer appearance of an official. In such a life of emotions, evil could not penetrate deeply. Therefore, poison cannot treat the inside, and needles and stones cannot treat the outside. So, they can only move the essence. When the world is not like this, worries and troubles arise from within, and suffering harms the outside. Moreover, one loses the guidance of the four seasons, goes against the principles of cold and heat, and the evil wind comes frequently. Weakness and pathogenic factors occur day and night. From within, the five internal organs reach the bone marrow, and external injuries occur to the orifices and skin. Therefore, minor illnesses are bound to be severe. A serious illness is bound to lead to death, so Zhu You cannot stop. The emperor said, "Good." If I wish to be in the presence of a sick person, to see life and death, to resolve the suspicion, and to know the essence, like the sun and moonlight, can I hear it? Chui Bo said, "The color vein is what God values and what our predecessors pass on." In ancient times, people used the four seasons to understand the color pulse and connect with the divine. They combined the four seasons of metal, wood, water, fire and earth, the eight winds and the six harmonies, not deviating from their constants, changing and shifting, to observe their wonders and understand their essence. To understand the essence, one must understand the color pulse. The color pulse corresponds to the sun, and the pulse corresponds to the moon. By constantly seeking the essence, it is the essence. The change of color corresponds to the pulse of the four seasons, which is what the divine values, to be in harmony with the divine. Therefore, the distant death leads to the near life, the way of life is to grow, and the life is the daily sage king. In the ancient times, when treating diseases, the decoction is used for ten days to eliminate the diseases of the eight winds and five arthralgia. After ten days, it does not stop. The treatment is based on the bitter branches of the grass, with the root and the end as AIDS. Once the root and symptoms are treated, the pathogenic factors are taken. In the old age, the treatment of diseases was not in accordance with the four seasons. They did not know the sun and the moon, nor did they examine the adverse conditions. When the disease had already taken shape, they wanted to treat the exterior with micro-needles and the interior with decoctions. The rough workers saw this and thought it could be cured. Therefore, before the disease was cured, new diseases would arise. The emperor said, "I wish to hear the important way." Qi Bo said," The essence of governance is to reach the ultimate level, without any discoloration or meridians. When applied, it is not confused. This is the ultimate principle of governance. If one goes against the original, the root cause will not be achieved, the spirit will be lost, and the state will be lost. By discarding the old and seeking the new, one can attain the true person. The emperor said: I have heard that the essence of this is for me. The master said that it does not deviate from the color and meridians. This is what I know. The emperor asked: What is the one? The emperor asked: What can be done? Qi Bo said: In the "Tai Su" (Tai Su), the word "dao" is used. For those who are ill, they should be asked about their conditions several times to follow their wishes. Those who regain their spirit will thrive, while those who lose their spirit will perish. The emperor said: "Good."
