Zhang Sanfeng/Original Work by Kong De/Annotation [Original Text] Born with the weather in advance, hidden in the mountains, hard to encounter. To be clear-cut, you must remember that a pool of spring water encapsulates the situation. The lower mouth swallowed the entrance, and all the twelve Thunder Gates were terrified. Drunk, drunk and drunk again, the spring in the dantian is as red as jade. The fragrance of peaches wafts from the top of the jar, and the gentle breeze stirs up the primordial harmony. When the evil demons retreat, the heart is filled with spring; when the divine names and ghosts weep, the world is shaken. When one has accomplished three thousand feats, he rides a phoenix and a crane to ascend to immortality. [Annotation] Every person is born with innate primordial energy. Not only human beings, but even the emergence of all things is constructed by innate primordial energy. The human body is a real matter, yet this real matter arises from nothing. If you don't believe it, just think about where you were when your parents were unmarried. This is nothing but a primordial 炁. Before we were born, the primordial 炁 existed in the universe and nature; After giving birth to us, the primordial elements that belong to our life, govern our life, sustain our life 炁 exist within our living beings. This body was called "Xingshan" by the previous cultivators. Because of the existence of "shape", Xingshan can be seen and touched by people. The innate 炁 is formless and shapeless, with no premonitory signs. It is hidden in the fleshy mountains, and thus people often fail to notice it. Note: People generally lack understanding of innate 炁 and do not know the relationship between life and innate 炁. But on the other hand, people are most familiar with the primordial 炁. For instance, whether a person is ill, healthy, sad or happy can often be seen at a glance. In addition to behavioral characteristics, that is the display of 炁. The appearance on the surface of a mountain is called complexion. People who know each other well, once they notice any change in the other's complexion, can determine whether that person is experiencing joy or sorrow, health or decline. This is what the people do not know about the innate 炁. If we understand the significance of the innate 炁 to life from the perspective of cultivation, and then discover it, preserve it, cultivate it and consolidate it, this secret can be stated directly. It is hoped that those who cultivate the tao will keep it firmly in mind. The secret of life lies in the essence that a person expels after birth. Note: From the moment a person is conceived until birth, before the infant body is broken, the primordial 炁 in life is complete. For females, up to fourteen; for males, up to sixteen. The primordial yuan 炁 reaches the image of yuanhe quan zhi. At the ultimate of the boundless, power is born. Therefore, at this time, both the man and the woman's heavenly essence arrive. Women have the Yin meridian of Yue Xin, while men have the Yang essence of Jie Dong. This was originally a natural phenomenon. With the convergence of the essence of Yin and Yang, the same kind of life can reproduce. It is called "Going with the flow gives rise to life", a transformation form of your life's rebirth. However, at this time, the child's body was broken, and the innate absence of 炁 began to be lost along with the Yin and Yang essence of both male and female. Low loss. Human life can then be long. If one loses too much, one's life is bound to die prematurely. It is true that the channels through which a person loses the primordial essence 炁 after birth are not limited to the two essences of Yin and Yang. For instance, the seven emotions and six desires, the tears in the eyes, the sweat in the pores, the nasal discharge, the saliva in the mouth, the blood in the veins, and the marrow in the bones are all different forms of the primordial essence after birth, and there are also cases where they are not lost. However, from the perspective of the essence of life, the essence of Yin and Yang should be the most important. If one can maintain the essence of Yin and Yang and connect it with others, it will be like having the key points in place. The Patriarch Sanfeng compared the two essences of Yin and Yang to "a pool of spring water", meaning that water is the symbol of essence and spring is the symbol of Yuanhe. When spring comes in nature, flowers break their buds and bloom. This is the same principle as when people reach the peak of youth and harmony and break their bodies. Therefore, when both men and women start their cultivation, in terms of life skills, they all begin with preserving the essence. Therefore, the ancients called this "pool of spring water" "If you go with it, you will be born; if you go against it, you will become an immortal." Both are forms of life regeneration, but "Shun" is the transformation and rebirth of life, with children and descendants continuing one's life. The term "reversal" refers to the return and regeneration of life, which particularly extends or infinitely extends one's own life and undergoes a qualitative transformation. All the essence acquired after birth is lost from the lower part of the human body. The reason is that they are produced in the lower part and supplied in the lower part. The place in the lower part of the human body where the earliest sign of the emergence of essence emerges is the dantian. The so-called aura is because when it sprouts in the dantian, it is still intangible, but under the internal illumination of the power state, it can be felt and is in a pre-natal state. During the continuous accumulation of the germination process, it turns into tangible essence in the relevant organs and is randomly excreted. The technical mystery of cultivation lies in, first, to stimulate the emergence of the innate 炁 in the dantian, enabling them to reach the ultimate state of yuanhe. Secondly, do not let them intensify and be refined into the essence acquired later in life. Instead, when they reach the peak of Yuanhe, gather them for training, allowing them to circulate within the body after becoming purer and stronger. This is what is called the "minor circulation" and the "major circulation". Therefore, the key technique of gathering them at the peak of yuanhe in the first tengen 炁. Cultivators gave it a term called "Tun". Swallowing and spitting out are opposite. Loss is spitting out, and accumulation is swallowing. After swallowing and swallowing again, the innate 炁 within the body will become vigorous and powerful, and all the blocked key points, meridians and acupoints will be unblocked one by one. During these processes of clearing the passages and opening the orifices, there will be many thrilling phenomena, which can be poetically described as "the Twelve Thunder Gates are all in awe". The profound state of practicing martial arts is the mixture of spirit and qi. If we compare the spirit and the qi separately to medicine, then the mixture of the spirit and the qi without distinction is like medicine combined into elixir. Therefore, whether one can obtain the elixir depends on the degree to which the vital energy is mixed. If the spirit cannot be mixed, the medicine cannot condense into elixir. If it leans to one side, although it may have certain health-preserving effects, its function is worlds apart from that of elixir. When the spirit and energy are combined into one, it is called the Great Pill, which not only prolongs life but also enables supernatural powers and transformations. The state of the blending of spirit and energy is like a person drinking fine wine, intoxicated and lost in thought, neither existing nor empty. At the beginning, the dantian was warm, like the deep sun shining brightly, warm and cozy, clear and bright, and as flawless as jade. This name goes: "Drunk, drunk, drunk again, the dantian is as red as jade in spring." The primordial 炁 is the root of human life. If one has this root, he will live; if one does not, he will die. A person with strong roots will live a long life, while one with weak roots will have a short life. A person with thriving roots will have a continuous source of life. Yan. Therefore, it is compared to the peaches of immortality at the Queen Mother's cricket banquet, "blooming once every three thousand years, bearing fruit once every three thousand years, and ripening once every three thousand years." Eating it will make one an immortal. But this peach banquet should be savored slowly. Otherwise, like that Sun Wukong who gave him a sudden blow, he would fall to the ground and disappear. This method of tasting is called "heat control". It won't work if it's too old or too young. When it's neither too old nor too young and at the right time, it should be refined. This proper heat is to wait until the dantian generates the primordial 炁. When it is weak, rest quietly to allow it to gradually gather and strengthen. When it is strong, focus on cooking without moving. When it is about to reach the yangguan point and the yangguan point is closed, turn back and cook again. When it is about to stir the perineum again, this is the arrival of the zhengzi hour. This is precisely the case of not aging and not being afraid of the heat, just like brewing fine wine. When the aroma of the wine is smelled at the head of the jar, it indicates that the fine wine is ripe and can be tasted through the "circulation of the heaven". This week is a minor week, during which the system of promotion, demotion and appointment is implemented. The method is to rely on the Xun wind of the postnatal breathing to promote the circulation of the primordial energy. When ascending, inhale; when descending, exhale. During the bath, there is no need to pay attention to breathing. For such a long time, week after week, during the process of unblocking the Ren and Du meridians, the twelve meridians will gradually become unobstructed. After that, it entered the Great Zhou Tian Yun Refining. Although the Great Cycle of Celestial Cultivation no longer has the circular cycle of the Small cycle, in the previous stage (the stage before the Great Perfection), there are still periodic changes in information and repeated "jar head incense", so it still needs to rely on the pulsation of the Xun wind. Whether it is the minor cycle or the major cycle, fundamentally speaking, it is a process of the harmony of the spirit and energy. However, during the minor cycle period, it was still necessary to borrow certain post-celestial deities and post-weather conditions in order to align with the pre-celestial deities and pre-weather conditions of the major cycle. Then, in the early stage when the minor cycle is completed and enters the major cycle, there is still a transitional period, that is, there are still some actions of the post-celestial deities and post-weather. Therefore, the ancients said that the minor cycle is "half man-made and half natural", while the major cycle is "purely natural". The transformation from the later celestial deities of the minor week to the earlier celestial deities of the major week is also a process of forging Yin and retaining Yang. The Hou Tian Shen is a Yang Shen, and the Hou Tian Qi belongs to Yin qi. If these two cannot be eradicated, the innate pure Yang qi cannot be achieved. Therefore, during the transition from the minor cycle to the major cycle, from a spiritual perspective, the postnatal Yin spirit will not easily abdication (even if we have a strong subjective will to eliminate it, the Yang spirit will still use the subconscious to reveal its existence and function), and often fabricates some illusory images and visions to disturb the functional state. In the later days, due to the death of the Yin spirit, the cells in the meridians have not yet been completely unobstructed and restored to their original state from the minute details. Therefore, some earth-shaking changes within the small universe will still occur. These changes in recreating the universe, combined with illusory images and realms, will create some extremely uncomfortable or terrifying feelings for people. Mr. Zhang Sanfeng once said about this situation, "Ten people are not good at it, and nine of them are a little scared here." Only by holding onto the thought of not fearing even death and gritting one's teeth to forge ahead can one bring about a spring full of bright sunshine. It is not until this point that the foundation-building practice is completed. The completion of the Foundation Establishment Skill leads to the attainment of the immortal fruit position. This fruit position has three major life advantages. First, human life can be exceptionally prolonged. Second, life has completely eradicated troubles. Third, there are no external factors that can cause physical or mental illness in people. According to the highest goal of the study of immortality, the attainment of immortality is only the foundation of immortality. One still needs to further one's studies, ascending from a human immortal to a terrestrial immortal, and then from a terrestrial private immortal to a celestial immortal, before one can be considered accomplished. And from human immortals to earth immortals and celestial immortals, they could have continuously performed their skills until they succeeded. However, orthodox immortals believe that human beings, as the spirits of all things between heaven and earth, shoulder the cosmic historical mission of human beings. And as the most outstanding among people, immortals (in Buddhism, they can be called Buddhas) can be said to be the ones who have an inescapable responsibility to fulfill this historical mission. Therefore, they should not rush towards the ultimate goal of individual cultivation. After obtaining a complete guarantee of life, they should do some good deeds within their capacity for society and nature in a broader time and space, which is what is called achieving three thousand small merits and eight hundred great merits. Only when one feels that life is completely without regrets and that both body and mind can enter a state of great tranquility and concentration (with a heart as cold as ashes and a body as solid as wood or stone), can one cultivate towards the goal of becoming an immortal on earth or in heaven, and success is bound to be achieved. Note: The title of this song is "Xian Tian Yi 炁", because human beings, like all things, are born from one qi and cease from one qi. That is, one is born from one qi and cultivated from one qi. Where one comes from and where one returns to, no matter how many secrets or methods there are, they all boil down to one qi.
