The Tai Chi Neigong health preservation method is easy to understand, simple to learn, and without deviation. It has unique effects when used for fitness, disease prevention, rehabilitation and health preservation. 1. Ten-finger Hair combing: Rub your hands together quickly for 36 times until your palms feel warm. Then, use the tips of your ten fingers to comb upwards from the front hairline to the Baihui point, and then downwards to the back of your neck. Inhale as you comb upwards and exhale as you comb downwards. Repeat this process 36 times. It has the effects of refreshing the mind, preventing neurasthenia and resisting cerebral arteriosclerosis. 2. Rubbing the forehead with the palms: Use the palms and the bases of both hands to rub the forehead upwards 36 times. Iii. Finger Tapping for a Hundred Times: Use the fingertips of both hands to moderately tap the top of the head from the middle of the hairline to the back of the neck, tapping 36 times. Four. Shaking the Head and Swaying the Body: Lower your head and neck, and slowly sway to the left and right sides to the maximum extent, stretching the neck muscles as much as possible. Do this 36 times on both sides. V. Facial Rubbing: Place both hands on your cheeks, with your index fingers leaning against the sides of your nose. Then, rub your face in circular motions from bottom to top and from inside to outside for 36 times. Inhale as you ascend and exhale as you descend. Six. Eye Rotation: Slightly close both eyes and rotate the eyeballs in a circular motion from left to right for 36 times, then rotate them in the opposite direction for 36 times. This method is highly effective in improving eyesight and enhancing the flexibility of both eyes. Seven. Eye Application and Qi Circulation: Place the Laogong points in the palms facing each other, about one foot from the chest, as if holding a ball. Concentrate the essence of heaven and earth in the palms with your mind. Then, slowly perform the actions of opening and closing, pulling, rotating and rubbing the qi in the palms. When you feel the sensation of the Taiji Primordial qi that cannot be pulled or closed between your hands, slowly approach the eyes and squeeze or rotate the qi circulation. Viii. Rubbing the Sun with Fingers: Extend the middle fingers of both hands, press the nails of the ring finger and little finger with the thumb, and place the sword fingers on the temples on both sides of the head respectively. Rub 36 times in a clockwise and counterclockwise direction. Ix. Nasal Rubbing at the thenar Eminence: Rub the thenar eminence muscles under the thumbs of both hands to warm them up. Then, start from the Yingxiang point beside the nostrils and rub upwards to the center of the eyebrows, then rub downwards back to the Yingxiang point. Repeat this 36 times. This method has certain therapeutic effects on preventing and treating influenza or rhinitis. X. Heavenly Drums Resounding Together: Cover the ear holes with the palms of both hands, place the thumbs at the back of the neck, and the other four fingers at the back of the head. Then, slide the index fingers down from the middle fingers and tap the back of the head. At this moment, the sound of a drum could be heard in the ears. After doing it 36 times, the hands suddenly loosened to the sides and the eyes opened wide. Immediately, there was a feeling of sharp hearing and clear vision. Then, insert your middle finger into your ear hole, rotate it forward and backward six times each, and then release your hand to flash your ear. Regular practice of this method is highly effective for both tinnitus and deafness. Eleven. Regulating the neck muscles: First, cross your fingers and place them at the back of your neck. Use the heel of your palm to hold the neck muscles and lift them up 36 times. Then, use your ten fingers to pinch the two major tendons (trapezius) at the back of your neck and pinch them from top to bottom for 36 times in sequence. Twelve. Red Dragon Stirring the Sea: First, stir the mouth from left to right 36 times with the tongue, then stir in the opposite direction 36 times. The saliva produced in the mouth is called "Golden Law Jade Liquid". Slowly swallow it into the stomach in three mouthfuls (representing essence, energy and spirit respectively), which is called "Jade Liquid Returning the Elixir". Regular practice has a unique therapeutic effect on pharyngitis, oral ulcers and bad breath. Thirteen. Gurgling and Swallowing Saliva: Close your mouth and puff your cheeks as if you were holding clear water. Then, as if you were rinsing your mouth, stir your cheeks 36 times. The saliva produced in your mouth is slowly swallowed into the dantian in three mouthfuls. Fourteen. Tapping teeth to Strengthen the Kidneys: Gently close your mouth and tap your front and back teeth up and down 36 times each. In addition, when urinating, bite the front teeth; when defecating, bite the back teeth. Keep your mouth closed and do not speak. According to traditional Chinese medicine, teeth are the surplus of the kidneys. Therefore, knocking teeth every day can achieve the effect of strengthening the kidneys and consolidating the teeth. Fifteen. Broad Chest and Smooth Qi: Extend the middle finger, pinch the middle second phalanx with the thumb and index finger, and bend the ring finger and little finger to touch the palm. Then, quickly tap the midpoint of the line connecting the two nipples, the Zhongdantian Zhongfu point, 36 times. Then, rotate and knead in a clockwise and counterclockwise direction 6 times each. After that, use the thumbs of both hands to run down from the Zhongfu point through the abdomen to the outer side of the groin, and at the same time, exhale deeply, slowly and evenly. The mind guides the turbid qi in the chest down through the soles of the feet and into the ground. After tapping the left and right hands respectively, do this exercise 9 times each. Sixteen. Inner Rotation of the Dantian: Place your hands alternately on the lower part of the lower abdomen, the Dantian area. For men, the left hand should be inside, and for women, the right hand should be inside. Rub the Dantian 36 times each in a clockwise and counterclockwise direction. Pay attention to inhaling as you move your hands and exhaling as you move them down. At the same time, imagine the lower dantian moving freely and turning inward. Seventeen. Silk Winding with Both Hands: Place the backs of both hands against the sides of the waist. Rotate 36 times in the front and 36 times in the back. This exercise not only helps to practice the flexibility of the wrists but is also one of the Chen-style Tai Chi grappling techniques. Eighteen. Rotating the waist and hips: Place your right arm upside down on the back of your neck and your left arm on the back of your waist. Then turn your body to the left and focus your eyes on the heel of your right foot. Repeat this rotation 9 times and then rotate in the opposite direction 9 times. According to traditional Chinese medicine, the waist is the residence of the kidneys. When the waist is rotated, kidney qi is generated. Therefore, rotating the waist and hips can effectively prevent and treat diseases such as kidney deficiency and lower back pain. Nineteen. Ascending the Clear and Descending the Turbid: Place your hands on top of each other at the Guanyuan point in the lower dantian, with your fingertips pointing down. Then, slowly squat down with your legs. At the same time, send your hands down along both thighs, along the knees, calves, to the ankles. Use your mind to guide the turbid qi throughout your body from the Yongquan point on the soles of your feet to the ground and dissolve it. Then, use your hands to return to the lower dantian along the original route, and use your mind to introduce the essence qi from the earth into your entire body. Do it nine times in a row. Twenty. Bending Fingers to Strengthen the Heart: Extend the little finger and clench the other four fingers together. Then, forcefully curl the little finger inward 81 times. According to the theory of meridians in traditional Chinese medicine, the little finger is the end point where the Shaoyin Heart Meridian of the hand runs. Therefore, regularly doing this exercise can have the effect of strengthening the heart along the meridian. In addition, press and knead the Neiguan point (two cun above the transverse wrist crease) of the other hand with the thumb of one hand 81 times, and do the same with the other hand. This also has the effect of strengthening the heart. Twenty-one. Full-body slapping: Use both palms to slap the entire body from top to bottom in sequence. The order is as follows: the right palm slaps the left shoulder, elbow, hand, and left chest and rib, the left palm slaps the right shoulder, elbow, hand, and right chest and rib. Then, use both hands to slap from the front of the chest down through the abdomen to the calf, and then use the opposite hand to slap the waist and back. Finally, lift one leg and stand the other leg, and clap the leg muscles with both palms. When hitting, raise your hand to inhale, exhale or hold your breath. At the beginning, the force of the hitting should be light, and then gradually increase the force. Twenty-two. Palm Rubbing of Spring Water: Before going to bed at night, soak your feet in hot water and let them dry. Then, use your left hand to rub the sole of your right foot and your right hand to rub the sole of your left foot, each 36 times. After that, use your left hand to pat the sole of your right foot and your right hand to pat the sole of your left foot 81 times each. 23. Pointing at the perineum: Lie on your back. First, quickly press the perineum point (the midpoint of the line connecting the scrotum and the anus) with your right hand's acupoint finger 81 times. Then, rotate it 81 times clockwise and 81 times counterclockwise. Repeat the same process with your left hand. Twenty-four. Rubbing the kidneys with Palms: After quickly rubbing both hands to warm them up, place the palms against the kidney areas and rub them in rotation for 36 times. Twenty-five. Pulling and pinching both ears: According to traditional Chinese medicine theory, the ears are like an upside-down baby, representing the "miniature points" of various tissues and organs in the human body. Therefore, repeatedly pulling and pinching the entire ear with both hands has the effect of regulating the whole body. When practicing the Tai Chi Internal Energy preservation method, my experience is that it is not necessary to do it in sequence every day. One can choose the key points based on their own situation. In addition, one should follow the three elements of Tai Chi: relaxation, tranquility and naturalness, and organically combine the intention, movement and breathing. Only in this way can one achieve twice the result with half the effort.
