How should we deal with the phenomenon of spontaneous work

Teacher Kong De: I'm an employee of Harbin Tools Factory and I'm over 50 years old. In recent years, I have learned a lot of knowledge from Wudang Magazine and benefited greatly. My favorites are the articles in the columns "Le Yu Tang Quotations" and "Dan Gong Jie Nan". Based on the frequent answers from Teacher Kong, I analyzed and reflected on my own practice situation, which enabled my skills to make progress. Through practical experience and the study of relevant works, I have gained a correct understanding of spiritual cultivation and am determined to take this path (though it is very difficult), because it can teach me how to be a person. At present, I feel that the qi within my body has formed a movement pattern and developed my own set of functions (without fixed patterns), and it seems to be carried out in a planned and step-by-step manner. The fixed formulas I learned in the past are no longer practiced. As soon as I start, they become my own set, and there will be changes after a period of time. The practice speed varies, and sometimes it's very much like practicing Tai Chi (I haven't practiced it before). Manshi is slower than the slow-motion scenes in movies. The arms seem to be moving in water, with both force and buoyancy, floating freely and at ease. Sometimes one would suddenly stop at an action, much like a pose (for a few seconds or a minute or two). Then he continued practicing, his movements light and quick, very much like drawing silk, continuous and unbroken. There are also many movements of standing on one leg (very much like making an appearance), sometimes it seems like practicing other martial arts, sometimes the fixed postures learned appear, with the tendons and bones moving, and there are also self-adjustments. Sometimes, I would automatically go and fight trees (I heard that the inner strength is called "cotton sand"), and when I reached a certain level, I would go and practice something else. Sometimes, the sounds produced by the self-supporting track sound are long and not very loud. They are mostly these three sounds: "ren", "hu" and "yi". The temperature within my body is gentle and flowing ceaselessly, and there is an indescribable beauty all over my body. There is both stillness (standing still) and movement within the practice, and sometimes one stands in a meditation position (in various forms). The eyes are sometimes open and sometimes relaxed, mostly slightly open. In short, I feel harmonious and very comfortable. It will automatically stop after a certain period of practice. There were also many actions for closing the work and making adjustments. It takes about four hours to practice like this (of course, you can practice less if you have something to do), but I always prefer to finish it. All of these occurred naturally. When sitting in meditation (in a single position), there is an internal movement phenomenon. The arms will move and the hands will constantly change their fingerprints. Sometimes the upper and lower legs are also switched. It takes three hours of this back-and-forth before the exercise automatically stops. If one sits at night, sometimes they will automatically fall asleep in a lying position. In conclusion, after practicing dynamic exercises, one feels relaxed, and after practicing static exercises, one sleeps soundly. Now I am not only in good health, but also very strong, energetic, walk briskly and have flexible muscles and bones. Teacher Kong De: In the past, I never practiced any martial arts techniques. Over the years, I have been practicing them naturally based on this set of techniques that occur naturally until now. But is there any mistake after all? Teacher Qing Kongde gave him guidance. Teacher Kong De replied: The situation you reflected in your letter belongs to the phenomenon of spontaneous merit. Spontaneous function is an innate automatic phenomenon, so I call it "innate self-initiated function". Why do people develop self-activating functions? This issue should be explained from the perspective of alchemy and the "Theory of Primordial Qi" in traditional Chinese medicine. When a person begins to take shape from his mother's womb, he also starts to receive the primordial energy and be transformed by it. Vital energy is innate and follows natural regularity. It is attached to all things and will undergo regular transformation in accordance with the different program structures and personalities of all things, enabling their growth and development to proceed in a reasonable and orderly manner. Both human beings and all things share the commonality of being subject to the transformation of the primordial energy. But what sets humans apart from all other things is that humans have thoughts and intentions, as well as social activities. The extremism of the seven emotions and six desires that these two factors may cause, as well as various unbalanced labor and living habits, will all interfere with and hinder the regular and harmonious transformation of the innate primordial energy. For instance, the regular transformation of the innate primordial energy is like a spring on a clock that is neither too tight nor too loose. All the misaligned actions of a person either tighten the spring even tighter or prevent its harmonious operation by creating obstacles. However, the practice of a practitioner is precisely to remove all the obstacles and resistances for the smooth flow of the primordial energy. However, due to the fact that we have accumulated too much suppression of the operation of the primordial energy transformation over the years, once this suppression is explained, the self-adjustment of the counterforce within a certain period will be very strong, which will give rise to the phenomenon of self-activation. Generally speaking, in the early stage of self-starting exercise, the range of motion is relatively large, but as time goes on, the range of motion becomes smaller and smaller, eventually disappearing. This process varies from person to person; for some, it may last for over a decade. Because the spontaneous function belongs to the self-adjusting movement that is suppressed and rich in connotation, the phenomena of its spontaneous movement are all kinds of strange and diverse, such as dancing, martial arts, singing, crying and laughing, and ugly postures... Not only that, but it can also perform high-difficulty moves that one would never have imagined in daily life. In fact, spontaneous function can also be eliminated. If a practitioner does not wish to perform spontaneous exercises, he can not only issue subconscious instructions to eliminate them, but also replace them by practicing other guiding and dynamic exercises and internal martial arts such as Tai Chi. The benefits of this substitution are the same, that is, both will be relieved without suppression and restore the regular transformation of vitality. It is precisely because there have been people throughout history who have not understood this principle that some people have developed self-activating skills that they cannot control themselves, which indeed leads to "going crazy". In ancient times, some folk gangs also used self-initiated kung fu to promote "divine boxing", misleading the people and expanding the influence of the gangs. From this, it can be seen that the appearance of self-activating power is not a bad thing but a good one. It's truly rare that you have self-control and can use it rationally. However, according to the procedures of the elixir path, this step of practice is only the repair stage before "establishing the foundation", and can also be called the "positioning of Heaven and Earth" stage. Given your current physical and mental benefits are so good, you can practice the "Foundation Establishment" method of Jinggong more often in the next step. This can be done by referring to more relevant elixirs. "Smooth and peaceful.
