For those who study the Tao, there is no need to be bound by time. But when there is a moment of physical and mental leisure, they should seek a quiet place, keep their eyes closed, sit upright and forget their ears, or sit cross-legged or not cross-legged. When sitting, one forgets one's form externally without being burdened by material things, and forgets one's mind internally without being preoccupied with matters. If one remains within, it seems as if it exists but is not, as if it is not, and is focused on emptiness. With long-term and thorough practice, one naturally becomes concentrated. When the mind is concentrated, Yang energy rises, and when Yang energy rises, there will be both rising and falling. When the qi rises, it starts from the coccyx of the waist, ascends straight to the spine and stops. With the help of the Xun wind, it bulges and rises to the top. The two qi converge and descend to the tip of the tongue, as sweet as honey. It is swallowed slowly and enters the middle official position. The Dan Shu says: Boasting relies on the Xunfeng wind. It is also said: At first, one must exert force, but later on, it seems as if there is nothing. In conclusion, if the number of ascending and descending is not clear, the time spent on daily efforts, the ingenious uses of the three gates, and the profound mysteries are all wasted, one will eventually achieve nothing in old age. Ancient Song Day The immortals were reluctant to clearly state how many people had been mistakenly killed by Yanfu! Why? These truths are still recognized by people, but the land immortals are in a state of turmoil. The so-called secrets of heaven, I dare not disclose them in writing, so I pass them on to you by word of mouth and heart. When there is excessive internal heat and water, the body will continue to rise. Excessive water keeps descending. If there are proper rules and regulations to balance and the use of appropriate weights and measures, then the fire will not be scorching and the water will not overflow, and the situation will naturally be stable. When needed, it exists; when not, it disappears. The underlying principle lies in the mnemonic. Since one does not know this wonderful use, how can one first refine essence into qi, second refine qi into spirit, and third refine spirit to restore emptiness? Nowadays, among those who study the Tao, there are many in the world, but among them, only one or two have received the true teachings. How could such a truth be imparted to others so easily! After ten months of pregnancy and two months of bathing, a total of three hundred and sixty days have passed. Not to mention the ten months of pregnancy, and the two months of bathing, where else can one rest? During these two months, the timing is not right. One may be content with the beginning, the end, or the middle. The practicality of commission does not mean that it should not be used. The soil for learning the Tao must be studied; one should not get stuck in the months of MAO and You. That's not the case. When one is reborn, could it be through oral instruction and personal teaching? The entrance hall is a crucial passage throughout one's body. This passage is the heart within one's heart. His heart is not a physical heart, but the master of the heart, the God of all things in his body. The divine is formless and shapeless, neither being nor non-being. When a person can be selfless, it is just a small aperture at the entrance that has the slightest selfish desire. It is not so. Chengzi said: "To be neither biased nor partial is called being moderate; only when there is bias does it mean not being moderate." Xinglin Shi Zhenren said: "There are mysteries within the body, and no impurities in the heart." That's all I have to say. The entrance hall is the essence of all things, and its movement is interacted with objects. Rest in peace. Everything is present, neither form nor emptiness, solemn and serene, with a flowing breath. A white tiger rises from the left, a green dragon emerges from the right, both stop at the central ridge, and the Xun wind rises. Fan opens the furnace 鞴, penetrates the kun peak, heaven and earth unite, turning into a pool. Descend to the tip of the tongue and swallow the yellow official. Within one day, perform the practice three or four times. The first stage lasts for a hundred days, followed by a one-month bath. The middle stage lasts for a hundred days, followed by the same time before the bath. The upper stage lasts for a hundred days. When the heat is exhausted, the body is transformed into a divine form, holding a child. After nine years of practice, it ascends during the day. The great way is wordless and not questioning; one forgets form and image to seek lead and mercury. Keep one thing to oneself and do not hold back any. Focus one's mind and body on stability. When breathing is responded to, the mind becomes clear and the six meridians naturally converge towards life. The spirit, soul and soul all return to their original sources, and thus the body and mind remain motionless. From the birth of the first Yang to the migration of the second Yang, all that remains is to warm the fire of the present. In an instant, it was raised straight to the Milky Way, and the jade pillow and clay balls were as hot as fire. In the Qiankun Jiaotong Jiangming Hall, a round light suspended treasure mirror on the top descended gracefully to the tip of the tongue, filling the mouth with a sweet and fragrant liquid. Slowly swallowing the Yellow Court, the golden light enveloped the entire body. When three families meet, a baby is born. The hexagram three and two determine the outcome. At dawn and dusk, hold the celestial constellations of fortune, and all four and three arch the handle of the Xuanji. To break through the top jaw gate in a year is to be extraordinary and become a sage. After nine years of dedication, I returned to the great cave alone, soaring like a phoenix. I now reveal the intentions of the sages and virtuous men, and I will wash my ears and clear my heart with certainty. Don't wait for the lead to be empty and the mercury to scatter; at that time, I will die willingly. The profound secrets are carefully dissected and passed down from the heart; everyone who studies Taoism makes progress early. It is also said: The entrance hall is hidden within, formless, imageless and infinite. If people today point to its place, it would be separated by thousands of mountains or tens of thousands of miles. If a person points to the areas where the heart, liver, spleen, lungs and kidneys are not located, but it is like skillfully pinching a point in a weak area, the words are on the right point, but the point is not on the right point. The medicine gatherer takes true qi from the blood and true essence from the qi. When the blood and qi reach the top, they converge and transform into liquid. True essence and true energy, when the energy reaches the peak and converges, transform into gold, and the liquid flows through the meridians and turns into white blood. The gold ones are placed in the central palace and coalesced to form elixirs. When the time came, all the blood and energy in one's body turned into white blood, and the true essence and energy were all condensed into one. Once the elixir body is completed, whether in or out of the state of mind, one is not burdened by the illusory body. One upward movement transcends the realm of Yin and Yang, and there are still incantations remaining. This is called having a body outside the body, which is not particularly peculiar. It is also said: Essence contains qi and blood, and blood contains essence. The essence and qi are formed by the Taiji. Don't say that breathing is sympathetic; how could this thing have life and death? When the heat reaches its peak, in an instant, it takes a whole week. For ten months and three hundred days, three thousand ten thousand hours and six hundred hours, thirty thousand quarters, or every moment, or every hour, or every day, or during the hour, it is not confined to the quarter, or during the day, it is not confined to the hour, but is used whenever needed. But if one does not know the rules and regulations, one will rise and fall at will and will not be able to rise. The mnemonic remains. The earth in the central palace gives birth to all things, and the heart governs all matters. The heart is the earth, and the earth is the heart. Therefore, it is said that the central part is the earth of Wu Ji, and the central part is the gateway of the entrance. When the earth is exhausted, all things die. When one has a clear mind, all things will come to an end. Nowadays, those who study the Tao are aimless and only look outside, but they do not seek the essence of the Tao. Holding a rebirth and swallowing it, in the human world, after nine years of accumulation of eight hundred deeds, one attains immortality. Traveling through the universe, traversing famous mountains and caves. On the day when the procession reached eight hundred, they were enshrined in the pond of gold, books and jade, and placed in the ranks. Trance is called "dissecting the fetus". Those who study the Dao are always unaware of the readiness of nature and the timing of its transformation. At the very beginning, could it be that it was passed down orally and by heart? The initial approach to the mysterious female gate: All changes are forgotten without forgetting, and the state of forgetting without forgetting is wonderful and unpredictable. These are the entrance points. How could they be the mud-shaped and disorderly measurement? The passage through the gate: Since the opening of the gate, the two qi flow around and respond to the transformation mechanism. Come and go without any hindrance, not the slightest disturbance to the Xuanji. Breaking through the realm: When the mind is clear and the nature is thorough, the light is as round as a mirror. With just one thought, all phenomena are responded to. The land for learning the Tao cannot be recognized; it must belong to another realm. Therefore, it is said: Why is it difficult for dust to accumulate in the eyes? It is only because there is no dust hidden in one's nature. A sudden thought stirs up waves, and many ghostly faces and human heads are seen. It is said that when there is a state of stillness and a sense of response, if the learner does not recognize it, there will be no evil. The enemy demons: The yearning is continuous and cannot be severed. With ghostly faces and heads, in all kinds of forms, they immediately drive the two chariots of water and fire, crashing through three passes, penetrating the inner courtyard. When the three corpses escape and the six bandits flee, the demons will naturally disperse. A wave of drowsiness and darkness fell, and at once he drew his sword and spread 罡风. Three Yang fires were ignited in the furnace, sweeping away the demonic atmosphere in an instant. When the practice of the Shi family reaches this stage, it is said that they have become one. Day and night, they do not give up. They only need to increase their concentration. Day and month, when the general is done, the Taoist school establishes the foundation and adjusts the heat, and the elixir is refined. Danji, with a pure mind, was protected by the divine light day and night. The eyes naturally gaze at the colors lazily, and the mind rests in silence, observing the profound truth. The heat control: The eight orifices are divided into eight sections, and the warmth, coolness, coldness and heat correspond to the universe. Throughout the four seasons, the Yin and Yang fires remain intact, and the red sand inside the tripod forms purple clouds. Bai Zhenren also said: "For those who practice fire, set each of the twelve hours as one, that is, five quarters. Within three hundred days and half a month, that is, one thousand and five hundred quarters." A person's eight carves make up a week's sky, and a moment's effort makes up a year. If scholars know how to use it in this way, when hungry, eat; when sleepy, the time limit * Bathing: Bathing in the body is the bathing of the climate. Bathing in the middle of the moon is the bathing of the Dan tou. Ziyang Day: The month and time when the Rooster is spared. It is said that after two months of bathing, the essence is complete and the energy is vigorous. The medicine in the furnace is warm, and the root is consolidated at the door by the 28th. Without adding heat to the smoke, the path of purifying the mind and mind will always remain. Also: When the weather comes, one should tuck in the curtains, remain calm and free from desires, and wait for the weather to pass. There is no need to let one's mind wander freely. As the saying goes, if one cannot firmly support, one must lose the elixir. At this point in time, one must be vigilant against danger and not apply the same principle as the ordinary. When the weather comes, maintenance is necessary. Do not shut down or do anything. Picking herbs: When picking herbs, one should look at their tenderness. If they are tender, they should be like the rising water of a spring; if they are old, they should be like the crawling of ants or the fine hairs. Exercise: Close your eyes as if you were still in the center, as if you were empty but not empty. When the qi in the Kun Palace is rising, the back is burning hot. The gentle breeze of the sun stirred, penetrating the Heavenly Palace in one breath. Closed and unable to let go, it turns into a full pond, slowly released, and the earth becomes the sweet rain. The general rule: The head is where all the Yang energies gather, and within it there is Yin, which is called true mercury. The five internal organs are where all the Yin energies gather, and within them there is Yang, which is called true lead. The one that covers the heart does not belong to Yang above or Yin below, but is located within it, regarded as the master of the entire body. When seen, its form cannot be seen; when heard, its sound cannot be heard. When tapped, it responds and becomes unobstructed; when in the middle, it remains silent and motionless. If one makes efforts in this state of constancy and eventually reaches a state of perfection, one will know that all the creations of heaven and earth are already within one's possession. [Note] This book places great emphasis on the mysterious female. The author believes that "If one understands this insight, then all the three elements and all things will be within oneself." This key point is not bound by material things. There is no other way but to forget one's form and eliminate thoughts, just as one adheres to it. When one is highly proficient over a long period of time and the central palace is extremely quiet, the Yang energy within the body will naturally arise. The Yang energy gradually rises and the Yin energy gradually fades away. This is the meaning of "Yang growing and Yin waning" (Preface). All the discussions in the book are the key points of the internal alchemy technique, but the language is rather clumsy and there are many places where the meaning is not conveyed clearly. The author, Yu Dongzhen, has an unknown life story. Note: The above article was kindly provided by the forum user "Huayi Sanren".
