On June 15th, 2026, the World Youth Development Forum was grandly held in Wuhan. Among the young people attending the forum, a special foreign Taoist priest stood out and became the focus of the entire event, attracting many people to stop and take pictures to record it.

This American named Jack Pinnick has a highly distinctive appearance: with golden-brown curly hair and deep-set features, beneath his Western-style looks, he wears a traditional Taoist high bun and a long beard, and is dressed in a simple black Taoist robe. The two completely different styles of China and the West blend perfectly on him, and his unique temperament leaves a deep impression. Having been deeply involved in Wudang culture for sixteen years, he is also affectionately called "Foreign Taoist Priest" by everyone.

This is Jack's first time to be invited to participate in the World Youth Development Forum. At the event site, he took the stage to perform, presenting authentic Wudang Tai Chi skills in a fluid and smooth manner. He combined movement and stillness, hardness and softness, vividly showcasing the unique charm of Tai Chi culture and directly demonstrating the distinctive appeal of traditional Chinese martial arts. When asked about the original intention of attending this conference, Jack said that he hoped to share his personal experiences and growth stories of deeply rooted in Wudang and in China through the international youth exchange platform, and at the same time humbly exchange and learn, absorbing the excellent experiences of young people from all over the world.

As early as 2010, driven by his passion for Chinese martial arts and traditional culture, Jack crossed the ocean to Wudang Mountain in Hubei Province. Since then, he has devoted himself to spiritual practice, systematically studying Wudang Tai Chi and Taoist culture, and has persisted for sixteen years. For many years, he has been committed to spreading traditional Chinese culture to the world.

To expand the boundaries of cultural dissemination, Jack and his wife have joined new media platforms such as Douyin, using the account "Wudang Jack" to regularly share daily practice clips and the various aspects of life in Wudang, providing comprehensive interpretations of Tai Chi techniques. In addition, he has specially recorded teaching videos and written English Tai Chi learning tutorials to lower the learning threshold for overseas enthusiasts. With professional content and a unique perspective on the integration of Chinese and foreign cultures, Jack has gained a large number of fans both at home and abroad. His students who follow him to learn Wudang Tai Chi both online and offline are spread all over the world. He has built a bridge for the exchange of Chinese and foreign cultures with his niche passion.
